Courses Offered:

Post Graduate Degree (2 years)

1. M.Tech.(Plastics Engineering/Technology)

In affiliation with Gujarat Technological University*, Ahmedabad, Biju Patnaik University of Technology,Rourkela at Bhubaneswar, Anna University at Chennai, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur at Hajipur, U.P. Technical University at Lucknow - Eligibility : 4 years degree B.E./B.Tech. in Plastics Engg./Tech./Polymer/Chemical or M.Sc. In Polymer Chemistry/ Physics/ Chemistry/Electronics, Maximum Age – 35 years.

2. *M.Tech.(Nano Technology with Polymer Concentration)

In affiliation with Biju Patnaik University of Technology,Rourkela at Laboratory for Advance Research in Polymeric Materials (LARPM), CIPET Bhubaneswar -

Eligibility :Eligibility:4 years degree B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/Production/Plastics Tech./Engg./Tool Engg./Aeronautics/Automobile/Mechatronics, Maximum Age – 35 years.

3. *M.Tech.(CAD/CAM/CAE)

In affiliation with Anna University, Chennai at Advance Research School for Technology & Product Simulation (ARSTPS), CIPET Chennai - Eligibility : 4 years degree B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/Production/Plastics Tech./Engg./Tool ngg./Aeronautics/Automobile/Mechatronics, Maximum Age – 35 years.

Under Graduate Programme (4 Yrs.)

4. B.Tech. (Plastics Engineering/Technology)

In affiliation with Gujarat Technological University* at Ahmedabad, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela at Bhubaneswar, Anna University at Chennai, and U.P. Technical University at Lucknow. Eligibility : 10+2 (Academic Stream) with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. (Minimum 60% of aggregate marks) , Maximum Age : 21 years.

Selection and eligibility of above Post Graduate/Under Graduate Degree as per affiliating university norms.

* In the process of AICTE approval and affiliation with respective university.

Post Graduate Diploma Programme

5. Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT)

Eligibility – 3 year Degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects. Maximum Age – 24 years.

Diploma/Post Diploma

6. Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT)

7.Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (PD-PMT) – 4 year integrated Dual Diploma

8. Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT)

9. Post Diploma in Plastics Technology (PD-PT) – 4 year integrated Dual Diploma

Eligibility – 10th Std. with Maths, English and Science. Maximum Age : 19 years. Also, refer the Prospectus for details.

Note : Candidates appearing for the entry qualification examination and awaiting results may also apply. Age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for applicants sponsored

by industries, SC/ST category and applicants from North Eastern Region.

How to apply :

Prospectus can be obtained from any of the CIPET centres by remitting a registration fee of Rs.400/- with a self addressed envelope size of 35cm x 25cm stamped for Rs.50/- in person or by post.

Mode of payment :

By cash or crossed demand draft drawn in favour of “Director General, CIPET payable at Chennai on any nationalised bank dated not earlier than 01.03.2009.

Important Dates

Last date for issue of application forms - 11 May 2009
Last date for Receipt of filled-in application forms - 18 May 2009
Date of JEE - 14 June 2009
Commencement of Course - 13 July 2009

Important Points

Application form (2 pages) and instructions for filling up the application form (6 pages) for admission to academic programmes may be downloaded and filled up legibly in capital letters and shade the corresponding ovals.

Need not to fill anything in the Form No.(Application form), which is meant for Official use only (applicable for downloaded form)

Please check the following before sending the filled-in application form :

(i) Demand draft for Rs.400/-; failing which the application will be liable to be rejected.
(ii) Duly attested true copies of the testimonials including date of birth, statement of marks, Degree/Diploma//XII Std/X Std. certificates
(iii) Download and submit SC/ST certificate duly certified, if applicable.
(iv) Download and submit Sponsorship certificate duly certified for Sponsored category candidates
(v) Submit post card for the purpose of acknowledgement as per the format given (download)
